Annapolis Box Academy & House League: Learn Box Lacrosse from Professional
Coaches
Join us for the Second Annual ABL season, hosted by Annapolis Box Lacrosse powered by ProStart! We're thrilled to introduce a revamped schedule and format, taking place this winter at St. Mary’s High School Stadium, conveniently located off Bestgate Rd in Annapolis, MD. The season kicks off on January 7th and concludes on February 11th.
What To Expect
Player Evaluation and Draft:
The season begins with a player Combine to assess individual skills. Following the Combine, a draft will determine team placements. Once teams are formed, they will compete for the prestigious Huntley Cup.
GAME PLAY DETAILS
Each team consists of 14-18 runners and a dedicated goalie. All games are played on the Turf at St. Mary’s Stadium field, featuring a full-sized box lacrosse
arena (200 ft X 87 ft) with ProWall boards.
During the regular season, games consist of 3 - 15-minute periods, while playoffs feature 3 - 15- minute periods.
The format follows Canadian-style Box Lacrosse with 5 runners on the floor and one goalie.
Expect small goals, a 30-second shot clock, and no long poles. All games adhere to USBOXLA rules.
DIVISIONS
Teams are organized by birth years into the following divisions:
- 2034/2035
- 2032/2033
- 2030/2031
- 2028/2029
The registration fee is $225.00 per player, covering training, gameplay, and a team jersey.
Equipment:
Most participants can wear standard NCAA-approved lacrosse equipment, except for goalies.
We strongly recommend using bicep pads, rib pads, and athletic cups for all players to ensure safety on the field.
